By Sun and Candlelight blends the romantic works of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Lord Byron, and William Shakespeare to tell two separate but intertwining love stories full of humor and warmth. Spend a late-summer evening with an exceptionally talented all-female cast as they explore these classic texts and stories within a dynamic environment in the heart of Central Park.



Sam Bruce
SAM BRUCE (Man 1) Most recently she has been seen as: "Lucetta" in Two Gentleman of Verona, "The Fool" in King Lear with the Inwood Shakespeare Festival and performing in flash style productions of Romeo and Juliet all around the streets and parks of the city and Brooklyn as a part of the "Occupy Verona company" playing various characters including Benvolio, Gregory, and Friar John.
Laura Epperson
LAURA EPPERSON (Man 2)is a NYC-based actress, child-wrangler, craft enthusiast, and adventurer.  Laura holds a BS in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville, where she performed in numerous productions of varying scale, including Proof (Catherine), The Farnsworth Invention (Pem Farnsworth), Alice in Wonderland (Alice), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Ensemble).  As an Acting Apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Laura was seen in 200 Hundred Feet and Counting (director David Mendizábal), A Doll’s House (dir. Sam Gold), and playing viola in the Late Night Cabarets (music dir. Kris Kukul).  Laura is thrilled to be making her Everyday Inferno debut.

GRACE PAINTER (Woman 2)is a recent MFA graduate from the New School For Drama. New York credits include: Survive! Survive! (Kevin C Gall + Trevor Buteau), King John (New Ensemble Workshop), The Trojan Women, Fen, New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down (NSD), Imaginary (reading, Black Henna Productions). Film: Love & Sandwiches (dir. Jordan Bates). All her love to her family, friends, and 13.

Jay Thomas
CASE WATSON (Woman 1) graduated Vassar College with a BA in Drama last spring. She has trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and with One Year Lease Theater Company. Case is completely thrilled to be working with Everyday Inferno for the first time and can't wait to explore with them the universally transcendent themes of A Map to Somewhere Else. Some of her favorite performances to date include Ilse in Spring Awakening, Cathy in The Last Five Years, and Alba in The House of the Spirits.
ANAIS KOIVISTO (Producer) is an award-winning New York based director with an interest in new works and heightened-language classics. Previous credits include Something Wicked (FRIGID New York Festival, Hangover Selection for the Kraine Theatre), Jen Tries Vacation as part of If on a Winter's Night... (The Access Theater), In the Land of Giants as part of The Golden Hour (Central Park), Briar Rose & the Thirteenth Fairy (The Jan Hus Playhouse), It’s Just the Radio (The Looking Glass Theatre Forum), The Saint Plays (Seiche Productions), and Speed Shakespeare – Hamlet, R&J (Theatre Artists’ Conspiracy). Anaïs is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Everyday Inferno Theatre Company, holds a BFA from Boston University and has studied at LAMDA and ACT, is a New York Affiliate member of Seiche Productions, and has served as a member of (Re:) Directions Theatre Company and the Theatre Artists’ Conspiracy.
KATHERINE SOMMER(Director & Adaptor) is a producer and director working primarily in the tri-state area.  She is a Skidmore College graduate and a current board member of the North Jersey-based theatre company Tomfoolery Theatre, where she has co-produced Godspell and Zombie Prom.  She has directed productions in four consecutive Writer/Director Forums at the Looking Glass Theater (NY).  She is proud to be a founding member of the innovative and wonderful Everyday Inferno Theatre Company where she now serves as Producing Director.  With Everyday Inferno, Katherine was the producer of Briar Rose & the Thirteenth Fairy and Something Wicked as a part of the FRIGID New York Festival, and the director of Dog and Human as part of The Golden Hour and The Policy as part of the first annual If on a Winter's Night...  She is, as always, eternally grateful to her incredibly supportive parents and friends.
